A FHS employee tested positive for COVID-19, principal Kraig Kelican confirmed today. Kelican said anyone potentially exposed to the virus by the employee has been contacted.
Fauquier County Public Schools (FCPS) have established a protocol with local health departments to manage COVID-19 cases. “Once we were made aware of this case, we worked with the Virginia Department of Health and the Fauquier County Employee Wellness Center,” said Kelican.
Superintendent David Jeck stated he was very sorry to hear about the case. “Our local epidemiologists and the CDC have stated that, because we are in the midst of a pandemic, there will be positive cases. We need to continue to adhere to the three Ws: Wash your hands, Wear a mask and Watch your distance.”

The Falconer will release more information as the story develops.
