Throughout the months and weeks leading up to the election, there were many stressors creating high tension throughout our country. When it was finally announced that former Vice President Joe Biden had won the 2020 presidential election along with his vice presidential pick, Kamala Harris, I was very relieved.
Personally, I support President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris because I agree with a lot of their views. I believe that they could do a lot for our country. They are more aware of how we can lower COVID-19 case numbers and how we can fix the climate crisis. Besides that, it was also very exciting news because Kamala Harris is the first female Vice President-elect.
There has been suspicion about voter fraud because of the amount of mail-in ballots in this election. A lot of theories have been fact-checked and proven to be false.
I was very happy to see how many people got out there and used their right to vote. This election was very crucial to vote in because of the current situation of our country. We want a president that will get the job done.
It was so nice seeing people celebrating and cheering in the streets after they heard the election news. It finally looked like our country was coming together after being torn apart for so long. Through these next four years, I am hoping to see lots of positive changes in America. I hope that we can face our problems in this country together and do our best to make sure everyone has freedom, equality and justice.
