Letters to the Editor
Anyone connected with FHS are encouraged to submit a letter to the editor! These submissions can come from students, teachers, parents, and other members of the community. Letters submitted are considered for publication but are not guaranteed to be published. The Editor-in-Chief may reject any submission, at any time, for any reason. Please submit your letter using this form, and follow all requirements listed below.
- Your letter cannot be a conflict of interest, meaning that you cannot be directly involved with the events covered in your letter.
- Letters cover a unique viewpoint about a current issue. Your letter should be primarily devoted to your point of view; they are not meant to give lots of context or be unbiased. They are also not gossip columns or places to rant.
- Certain opinions will not be published if we believe they substantially disrupt the educational environment, are discriminatory, or contain extremely mature themes.
- All letters are subject to an editing process, and the published version may slightly differ from the original submission.
- Your letter should be between 250 and 600 words (use ctrl + shift + c to check in Google Docs).
