We are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of those who use our website and take steps to protect such data. This policy may be updated at any time, for any reason, without advance notice provided.

Student Rights

All students have the fundamental right to privacy. The Falconer makes every possible effort to balance the public’s right to know and an individual’s right to privacy. Staff members will ensure any student appearing in any publication, either in print or online, is fully aware of that fact and gives them a choice to opt-out. Any individual who would like to request their name to be removed from the website may contact the Editor-in-Chief at [email protected].

Your data is kept secure and is not shared or transferred to any entity or third party, except in cooperation with law enforcement if the need arises. We do not sell data to advertisers or other third parties. Advertisements on the website are paid for in advance and are not targeted towards any individual.

Your Rights Under Virginia Law:

You may request the permanent deletion of your data from our servers by emailing a request to [email protected]. Please note that unlike a traditional business, this email will likely not be monitored throughout weekends and school breaks, so please be patient.

The Falconer is not held to the recently-passed Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act due to this organization’s small size.
