FCPS Will Reopen November 9 Under a Hybrid Model
Fauquier County Public Schools plan to reopen for grades K-12 on November 9, after the School Board approved the proposal tonight. Students will have the option to return under an AA/BB hybrid model similar to the one approved in July or under a virtual, live stream model. Both models will have asynchronous days where students work independently at home and Wednesday remaining a teacher planning day.
The School Board stated that we are now in the preparation phase for returning to in-person instruction. Important preparation dates include reviewing surveys on Oct. 4, analyzing data to create planning teams on Oct. 5, installing live stream cameras on Nov. 4, and transitioning staff from Nov. 2-6.
More information will be released in the next several days. Stay up to date with The Falconer as the story develops.
