Guests explore the colorful views of Hollin’s Farm.

It’s finally October, and you know what that means: Spooky season is officially here! As the temperature starts to drop, and the leaves begin to change, annual fall activities are creeping back into Fauquier.

A Fauquier favorite, Haunted Hollow, has re-opened for the season. This thrilling weekend activity takes the town by storm with its adventurous trails and frightening jump scares. With the trail changing and adapting every year, guests can get a new experience every time. Buckland Haunted Farm is a second local option. Known for their delicious treats, polite staff and interactive activities, Buckland Farm hosts a less scary haunted trail for those who still want to get their heart pumping.

And for those who don’t need an adrenaline rush to get into the Halloween mood, Hollin’s Farm is the perfect option. With their wide variety of home grown fruits and vegetables, you can find any treat to satisfy your fall cravings. With hundreds of apple trees with all your favorite types of apples, apple picking is a popular activity on Hollin’s Farm for family and friends. If you’re looking for pumpkins to carve, your search can come to an end, as Hollin’s Farm has a vast selection of ripe pumpkins to choose from. But the activities at this Farm don’t stop there. Guests are able to harvest their own potatoes and peanuts!

A local favorite business, Deja Brew, has started incorporating their fall drinks into their menu. With new drink specials: Pumpkin Chai Latte, Hot Cider, Apple Pie Latte, and the Caramel Apple Spice Phrap. These flavorful fall drinks are sure to keep you nice and cozy for the cool fall weather, but energized to participate in the fantastic fall festivities our small town has to offer.
