Humans of Fauquier
Freshman Jake Heston Miller
When I was like seven I saw, well backtrack, I always wanted to be a singer, I’ve always loved singing. Whenever I would listen to the radio I would always just have the best time. I saw a show at a community theater and I was like “oh this looks really fun!” I just kinda asked my mom, “Hey maybe I could just try to do this for fun?” and then I auditioned. I started getting into theater, did some community theater shows. Then I took some voice lessons ‘cause [sic.] I was like “ya know I think I just wanna be a singer.” Then I, like, kept doing voice lessons and then my teacher was like “You should try out for, like, some stuff on Broadway.” And, I did. The feedback was really good and I was getting called back, and that’s when I kinda was like “Okay, like this could turn into something serious.” I feel really at home on the stage and I just really enjoy doing it. So, it kinda just manifested into me going on tour and all that stuff. I just really enjoy it, I really love it. That’s literally what I want to do for the rest of my life.
Basically, all I’m doing now is just preparing for college auditions and becoming a professional actor and all that stuff.
