Elementary Students Experience Food for America Event
FFA and agriculture classes hosted the annual Food for America event on Thursday, October 14. Fourth graders were invited from Coleman, Claude Thompson and Brumfield Elementary to learn about the different aspects of agriculture. The event lasted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Students were able to attend different stations to learn about forestry, wildlife, horticulture and floral design. Activities were offered to students such as hay rides, trivia games and coloring. Different animals were on display to the students such as chickens, turkeys, cows, ponies and goats.
