FCPS Re-Opening Update
- Today, October 9 is the last day to sign up for virtual or hybrid learning, starting November 9.
- Parents/Guardians can sign up through the parent portal of Infinite Campus.
- Midnight is the deadline
- If hybrid learning is chosen, students can change to virtual learning.
- If a student chooses virtual learning they cannot change to hybrid.
- Each classroom is being set up with desks six feet apart, so the school cannot allow a student to switch into in-person instruction, there will not be a space for them in the classroom.
- If no response is submitted the default is the hybrid model with no bus service provided.
- Midnight is the deadline
- Parents/Guardians can sign up through the parent portal of Infinite Campus.
- In school, face masks will be required by everyone.
- Neck guards, scarves or gators are not allowed.
- Students who opt out of wearing a mask will be sent to virtual learning.
- Students are asked to bring their personal computers to school to prevent sharing class computer sets.
- The new Chromebook shipment will not be available in time for school reopening.
- Third block will be longer to provide for a fifth lunch period, to control social distancing.
- Parking spot forms need to be filled out before October 29, any remaining parking spots after November 2 will be first come first serve.
- The FCPS webinar last night will be available on the FCPS1 website.
- It has answers to previously submitted questions regarding reopening.
