FCPS Moves to Four Days a Week of In-Person Instruction After Spring Break
Superintendent David Jeck expressed a desire to open instruction to four days a week by the end of Spring break at the February 8 school board meeting. Jeck added that 85 percent of Fauquier County Public Schools (FCPS) employees could be vaccinated by mid-March. He acknowledged that social distancing of six feet would not be possible with four days of in person instruction, but three feet social distancing with masks meets standards, reported Fauquier Now. The CDC recommends public schools to implement “social distancing to the largest extent possible” in their Indicators for Dynamic School Decision-Making table.
