Tonight the Fauquier County Public School Board announced the 2020-21 school year will continue virtually through December. Jeck recommended that due to staff shortages in the nursing, transportation and teacher departments, in-person learning would be too challenging. The school board approved his recommendation.

With this decision, Fauquier County became the last of the school districts in Northern Virginia to go all virtual. 

The first day of online school for FCPS will remain August 24, and further information will be released by FCPS tomorrow.
