For senior Gracie Campbell, photography is an integral part of her life. It is more than just her hobby, it is her passion. As one of only a handful of students who started in Photography 1 and are now in Photography 3, she has achieved great things, and she is constantly improving. Her teacher, Sarah Ewing, sets Campbell apart from the rest of the class. “Gracie Campbell is my standout,” she said. Ewing also mentions that “every time Campbell shows her photo projects, those photos get better and better over time.”
Ewing has nothing but positive things to say about Campbell, calling her “a talented photographer.” Ewing likes the professionalism with which Campbell takes her photos, highlighting that “she knows how to wait for the decisive moment.” Ewing also added that Campbell is very good at candid photography and documentary-style photography. As for her career, the teacher mentioned that Campbell wants to become a livestock photographer. This is not surprising since Campbell herself said that “she likes to take pictures of her cows.”
Campbell is one of those people who doesn’t really get ideas for photos, as she photographs everything that catches her eye, and it seems that a lot of things catch her eye. She added that she basically loves to photograph everything, though her cows remain her all-time favorite. Campbell’s main idol is her mom, who is also a photographer. As Campbell shared, “She’s the person who inspired me to start doing photography.”
Campbell is a person with a great future in photography. She already stands out among the other students for her talent and professionalism in photography skills, and in a few years, she will have improved even more.
