Encouraging from the sidelines, Chad Hoffman is supporting the Falcons’ wrestling team by doing what he loves, coaching.

Head Coach Chad Hoffman, originally FHS assistant wrestling coach, is ready to hit the mats. “FHS has a phenomenal tradition of a successful wrestling program. We have an awesome group of young men, an amazing staff as well and a support system in the community. It’s the perfect scenario,” said Hoffman.
Hoffman has been wrestling since he was four years old. He said he has wanted to coach since he was young and wants to continue doing it for his entire life. “My dad also played a big role in me wanting to coach. He was/is a great role model and leader for me,” said Hoffman.
Before coming to FHS he was a college football coach at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. This is his second year coaching at FHS and his first year as the head coach. He likes to remind that team, “control what you can control. Wrestle for six hard minutes and leave it all out there. Believe in yourself and good things will happen,” said Hoffman.
Former Head Coach Doug Fischer stepped down this year and offered the opportunity to Hoffman. On November 13, he officially accepted the title of head coach for the FHS Wrestling Team. “I am humbled, honored and excited for this opportunity…I look forward to carrying on the legacy that Coach Fisher left behind. Winning,” said Hoffman.
The wrestling season starts on December 14 but the team has been working out together to get in shape and stay connected. Hoffman hopes to draw attention to the hard work the athletes are continuing to give the wrestling program this year. “A lot of people aren’t familiar with the sport of wrestling. Please come out and support these young men as we need all the support during this time with COVID,” said Hoffman.
