Fashion Spotlight: Jocelyn Stanton
junior
Q: What made you passionate about fashion and the way you dress?
A: “I found it as a way to express myself, especially with school. There’s a few restrictions, but I try to get as close as I can to that line to better express myself.”
Q: Was it difficult to find a style that suits you and your personality?
A: “Sometimes, I go online to look for inspiration, but at the same time I want to be myself. I have to make that my own thing instead of getting it from other people.”
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: “I’m not really sure how I’d describe my style. I can be all over the place sometimes; I could dress as a grandpa one day and then wear fishnets the next.”
Q: What is the most expensive item of clothing you’ve ever purchased?
A: “I usually thrift most of my clothes. The most expensive item would probably be my shoes; that can cost around $100.”
Q: What is something you love/ hate about fashion?
A: “I hate how different styles or items of clothing could be ‘in or out.’ People can do their own thing and dress how they want and have that be their ‘in’; with that comes judgement. I just feel like people should dress how they want to.”
