The weather is starting to get to that perfect spring temperature, so it’s time to switch from chilling months to warm spring fashion. The most popular stores have been previewing the upcoming trends for this spring by putting out a few warm-weather articles of clothing, as style transitions from big winter jackets and sweaters to floral dresses and short sleeves.

The first item isn’t necessarily new. Ribbon accents were trendy in winter and are now transitioning into spring. These cute accessories can be worn in many different ways, most popularly by adding them to a half-up-half-down hairstyle or putting them around a hair tie at the end of a braid. The ribbon accents have been making appearances in clothing as well, consistently being used as straps for tops or dresses. However you decide to style ribbon this spring, it will surely add a delicate, simple touch to your spring fashion.

The next article of clothing is peplum tops. This type of blouse was very popular in the 1980s, as well as the early 2010s. Peplum tops are back in style and are predicted to be one of the most popular styles this coming spring. Compared to the 1980s, they look completely different and have a more modern look. Peplum tops are tight around the torso and flare out at the waist, to create an elegant silhouette. These versatile tops can be dressed down or up. There are also peplum-style dresses that will make a statement this spring.

To go along with dresses, another popular item will be mini styles. These include mini skirts, dresses and shorts. For spring, mini skirts are often paired with a button-up blouse and heels. If you want to dress down the mini skirt, it can be worn with a tank top and sneakers. Mini dresses come in many different styles. The most popular one for these upcoming spring months would be a simple floral design. Mini shorts will become more popular in the hot summertime weather but can be paired with any type of top. Mini styles are a great way to embrace the warm weather in a cute and fashionable way.

The last popular item is colored sneakers, coming in many different shapes and sizes. There is a more retro look with the popular Adidas Samba OG shoes or a more modern look with the colored Converse Chuck Taylor. Colored sneakers can be paired with almost any outfit, most popularly seen with a pair of blue jeans and a black or white top. In this case, the shoes would be the stable piece of the outfit. Another way to style these fun shoes would be to match the color of the shoes with the color of the top. This is a great way to incorporate the color of the shoes with the outfit. However these colored sneakers are styled, they will surely make a bright statement this coming spring.
