Q: How would you describe your style?
A: It’s kind of a mix of everything. Most of my style is inspired from the nineties time period. My mom says that most of my clothes look a lot like what she used to wear when she was my age.

Q: What is your typical everyday outfit?
A: For a school day, most of the time I wear jeans and a cute top, but if I want to go comfy, I will wear leggings and a sweatshirt. It pretty much depends on my mood.

Q: Where is your favorite place to go shopping?
A: When I’m down at the beach, there is a cute shop called A Quiet Storm. I love to shop there because most of the clothes I buy are unique in their own way. There isn’t one up here, so most of my clothes stand out from the crowd.

Q: What inspires you (fashion influence)?
A: Mostly the nineties period, like what I said before. Sometimes I look at nineties’ themed shows or movies, like FRIENDS, and go off of that for a look. I also tend to look in stores and see what catches my eye. Most of our fashion industry right now is similar to the nineties, so I can get inspiration from social media or what’s in store.

Q: Was it difficult to find a style fit just for you?
A: Yes, it was. Before the pandemic, most of the time I would wear leggings and a T-shirt from the bottom of my closet. During the pandemic, I would just wear sweatpants or pajamas. Now that I am in school, I want to be able to express myself in different ways.

Q: What is one thing that you dislike about the fashion industry?
A: How fast the trends change. One day you see something online that’s trending, but the next it’s something different. And once it changes, you feel that you need to go out and buy it to stay on top of the trend. I also like that it changes because then it isn’t the same thing all the time. You never really get bored of what you see.
