Clinton Kane is an Australian-Filipino artist who recently released half of his new album “AND ALL I LOVED, I LOVED ALONE.” So far, there are five songs released on the album. The first of them, “DANCING ALL ALONE” was released in Feb. of last year. The rest of the songs “BITTERSWEET,” “PANIC ATTACK,” “DISAPPEAR” and “MERRY GO ROUND,” were all released between Oct. and Dec. of last year.
The songs on this album are a diversion from Kane’s past music about being heartbroken, past trauma and mental struggles. This music is more about the moving-on process, which happens afterward. “DANCING ALL ALONE” is a catchy song that shows how lost a person can be while they are doing seemingly normal things without that one person. “BITTERSWEET” is more of a realization of how love may not always be amazing and beautiful. “PANIC ATTACK” does a great job of portraying how scary experiencing a panic attack is and how it can just come out of nowhere. Overall, the raw vocals and delicately placed dynamics throughout all the songs on the album make it that much easier for the listener to really feel what Kane is conveying.
Since the new year, Kane hasn’t been on social media, nor has any other news about him or the album been noted. Fans hope that his sudden absence is him taking time to complete the album soon. Overall, “AND ALL I LOVED, I LOVED ALONE” is an amazing work of art and a gripping musical journey. Kane is a great singer/songwriter and this album is just another piece of proof to that.
