Lady Falcons Win Two Straight

During this week, the Lady Falcons have won back to back games against Liberty at home and then against Handley on the road. On Monday night, Fauquier overcame Liberty 43-34 after trailing 29-21 with 1:24 left in the third quarter. The Falcons turned it up from this point on, ending the game on a 22-13 run. Senior Skyler Furr led the way with 17 points, while Makayla Foddrell and Skye Corum also contributed 9 and 6 points, respectively. With little time to rest before their next gritty district game, the Lady Falcons traveled to John Handley High School in Winchester. The game was a back and forth affair which resulted in a 44-39 victory for the Falcons, needing overtime to do so. After consecutive wins this week Fauquier sits at an impressive 10-3 (5-2 district). Next, the girls travel to Sherando for a matchup between top three teams in the Northwestern District.
