“Black Phone 2” is a terrifying horror film that was released on October 17, 2025. This film is the second in a series and features some past characters, such as Finney, Gwen, Terrence, and, most notably, The Grabber. Additionally, some new characters who played a significant role in this film were Mustang, Armando, Barbra, and Kenneth. Finney and Gwen undergo personal growth with an unexpected twist in the plot.
This film was very intense in some parts, and it kept the audience engaged with jumpscares and many special effects. The movie was set at an old camp in the middle of a snowstorm. The producers did a fantastic job piecing together even the most minor details to bring this movie to life and live up to the expectations set by the first “Black Phone” film.
The first “Black Phone” movie was way scarier than the second; viewers consistently rated the sequel, “Black Phone 2,” drastically less frightening than the first. Although the second film was made more recently (a three-year gap), the graphics and stunts were not up to par. In one scene, Gwen got picked up by The Grabber and thrown around. The producers chose to switch from Gwen’s point of view to the other character’s point of view; in Gwen’s view, The Grabber was seen, but in the other character’s eyes, he wasn’t, which made the scene tacky and uninteresting because he wasn’t visible.
Each actor in the film did an excellent job of acting and telling the story as the producers wanted. One performer who stood out the most was Mason Thames, who plays Finney Blake in both movies and did an extraordinary job of bringing them to life. Thames’ acting made the story feel real and helped audiences understand the situation and share a connection.
The second ‘Black Phone’ movie is a must-watch for anyone looking for something scary. This film is rated R and contains profanity and scenes that may be disturbing to some viewers. Special effects makeup played a significant role in this film, making the movie much scarier. ‘Black Phone 2’ is a good movie that will give audiences an adrenaline rush while watching.
