Cassidy runs at a Cross Country meet.

Q: How long have you been running?
A: “I started running in middle school competitively. But before I ran competitively, I did some running in elementary school. For example, I did ‘Girls on the Run.’ So I have been doing it for a while.”

Q: How did you get involved in running?
A: “Both of my parents ran in college and continue to run now. So I’ve just kinda ran my whole life.”

Q: Do you have any plans to run in the future (in college)?
A: “Yes, I plan to run in college.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about running?
A: “I like to compete, it’s really fun to win! I just enjoy racing a lot.”

Q: What is a valuable thing you have learned from this team?
A: “Earning what you want doesn’t come easy and you have to work for it. The outcome is always good in the end.”

Q: Who is your biggest role model for running?
A: “Most likely my parents, just because they’ve helped me so much throughout my experience with running.”

Q: How do you practice to make yourself better?
A: “I go to practice every single day and I run on the days that I don’t have practice.”

Q: What’s one valuable thing that you have learned from running?
A: “Keep working hard, even on the bad days! Things will get better in the end.”
