There’s a storm in town. Better duck into a dark room, cover up in a cozy blanket and get ready to ride alongside tornado wranglers in the new action-packed thriller, “Twisters.” Many fans worried that this movie would not live up to the 1990 phenomenon movie, “Twister.” Fans were pleasantly surprised to see that “Twisters” more than exceeded the expectations. On July 19, 2024, a new legacy was made.
Written brilliantly by Joseph Kosinski and Michael Crichton, this movie had fans laughing, crying and swooning with the two leads Tyler Owens (Glen Powell) and Kate Carter (Daisy Edgar Jones). Kate is a girl with a passion for chasing tornadoes, but a traumatizing experience causes her to leave her passion behind. After much persuasion from a fellow tornado chaser, Kate decides to help on one final mission. Along the way, Kate meets another tornado chaser, Tyler, and together they decide to help towns instead of chasing fame. Powell and Jones showed great teamwork throughout the film.
The cast’s chemistry radiated through the screen and onto audience members. Fans watching the movie couldn’t get enough of the life that the cast brought to their characters. Fans particularly enjoyed the duo of Jones and Powell. Their teamwork and chemistry were amazing to watch. Both actors feed off of each other’s performance to create an overall fantastic film. Fans also enjoyed seeing the rest of the tornado-chasing teams. Kate and Tyler’s friends brought humor and resilience to the film. They brought laughter to the intensity and encouragement to the challenge. The cast portrayed emotion incredibly well throughout the movie.
The film was action-packed and entertaining. There was never a dull moment. The characters are well-balanced and their development throughout the film was phenomenally done. Fans enjoyed seeing the characters’ bonds grow and watching them overcome challenges. The film incredibly depicted the emotion of being afraid to do something, connecting to audience members of all ages and then showing that overcoming fears is possible. Watching the tornado wranglers use teamwork and love to fight for what’s right was truly inspirational.
“Twisters” received a “fresh” audience score of 93 percent. This film was amazing, adventurous, and fun. It had fans on the edge of their seats, waiting for the next scene. The film built an incredible suspense and didn’t leave any detail untouched. “Twisters” was a fan-favorite movie that satisfied fans all over the world.
